Kahilu Theatre Solo Show - Waiema, HI

Tonight is Jake's solo performance at the Kahilu Theatre. After a long day yesterday we were in the mood for some relaxing time at the hotel so we could gear up for tonights show. We met up with Mark, Jake's Tour Manager and Sound Engineer, and headed out to taste the Big Island Thai food. One of the great luxurious of staying on the Kona Coast is that you have a lot of places to dine at.

Kahilu Theatre Kanikapila - Waimea, HI

Tonight the Kahilu Theatre is hosting an open jam session...locally known as Kanikapila. Since there are so many talented Hawaiian musicians in town it makes sense to have them all play music together. Jake was really excited to be up on stage with all of these artists and play some Hawaiian jams. About twenty musicians gathered on stage. Some with instruments, some to sit in and sing along, and some just to enjoy it.

The Final Performance - San Sebastian, Spain

Awww man, the night has finally come. This marks the final performance from Jake's first ever Europe tour. We are all very sad to see this day come because we have had such a great experience thus far.  So, let's go out with a bang! The venue tonight is a pretty small tavern style setup which holds maybe 100 or so standing. Intimate? Yup! Just how Jake likes it....bring them in close and personal.

Time To Explore - San Sebastian, Spain

After last nights show, and the amazing response Jake received, we were really anxious to get out and experience the Spanish lifestyle. We have until about 9pm this evening before sound check...plenty of time to fill out minds with fresh memories. Mark miraculously found a gem of a restaurant which had a good selection of Gluten Free dishes.

San Sebastian Jazz Festival - San Sebastian, Spain

So let's just pick up where we left off at the Nice Jazz Festival. This seems like a relatively good idea since it looks like an all nighter was lingering in the midst. Just after we arrived back at the hotel in Nice, the festival was holding a "Jam Session" on the roof of the hotel (yeah, same spot as that amazing restaurant). Jake just couldn't resist!

Nice Jazz Festival - Nice, France

There is only one problem with Nice....everything is just too beautiful. The drive from our beach side hotel to the festival grounds took us through a very scenic route. You can really get a feel for the aged architecture that seems to define Nice. Definitely a cool spot for a festival, and an even better spot for Jake to play in.
